Lost: Season 4 (Soundtrack)

And so here we are at the fourth movement of Michael Giacchino’s masterpiece of television music work. If John Williams scored a television show, I don’t think he could have done better than what Mr. Giacchino has done with Lost. Season 4 had some very noteworthy epic cues including “Lost Away - Or Is it?” that majestically played Sayid’s motif as we saw the helicopter leaving the island to find the mysterious Freighter laying offshore. Then we have the Freighter theme itself, which could probably be classified as the signature theme for Season 4. “Time and Time Again” is the first time we hear the majestic Freighter theme and there is nice build up and explosion of its first statement that still gives me goosebumps to this day. It’s one of those moments that sounds like your are watching a big budget motion picture

Torchwood is a soundtrack album which was released on 22 September 2008, containing incidental music composed by Ben Foster and Murray Gold and used in the first and second series of the British science fiction television programme Torchwood. The CD has nearly 79 minutes over 32 tracks of great music. It’s not until you listen to this score that you realise just how much of an impact the music has on the show. There are some great examples of leitmotif, especially for Jack and Owen, which crop up again and again in other tracks. The tunes are evocative and for fans of the show you will find yourself picturing the events in your mind as you listen
